Job summary

Amyx is seeking a Systems Engineer Cloud Certified SME to support our Army client at the Pentagon. The role focuses on leading cloud environments, ensuring security, cost controls, and DoD compliance while working onsite in Arlington, VA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or mathematics from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum 10 years in systems engineering, software engineering, and systems administration with a DoD cloud certification.
• Strong understanding of cloud computing technologies, enterprise architecture, and integration.
• Favorable SSBI; Security+ and 8140 certifications; and a Secret Clearance.
• Experience architecting cloud solutions and knowledge of the System Development Lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Oversee cloud environments, ensuring proper configuration, alerts, cost control, and DoD security adherence.
• Demonstrate experience with major cloud providers (e.g., AWS) within the DoD.
• Communicate accurately and clearly with stakeholders.
• Lead SME activities and manage integration across systems and applications.

Overview

Amyx is seeking to hire Systems Engineer Cloud Certified Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support our Army client at the Pentagon.

Responsibilities

• The SME will possess extensive experience using latest technologies with proven record of implementing a wide variety systems and applications.
• The SME will demonstrate proven experience using one of the major cloud service (example AWS) providers currently running within the DoD.
• The SME will oversee all cloud environments ensuring each environment is properly configured, all necessary error and security alerts are in place, costs are being controlled appropriately, and DoD prescribed security is adhered to.
• Must have the ability to communicate accurate information.

Required Qualifications

• The Systems Engineer Cloud Certified SME must have at least an undergraduate degree in computer science, engineering, or mathematics from an accredited college or university.
• Must have a combined minimum of 10 years experience in systems engineering, software engineering, and systems administration. Must possess certification from at least one of the major DoD approved cloud service providers.
• Must have exceptional understanding of cloud computing technologies and computing trends and familiarity with enterprise architecture and enterprise application integration.
• Must have a completed favorable Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI).
• Must have a Security+ Certification.
• Must have 8140 Cyberspace Workforce Qualification and Management Program certification.
• Must have experience with architect cloud solutions and thorough knowledge of System Development Lifecycle.
• Secret Clearance.

Desired Qualifications

• Preferred Master of Science degree with experience performing within DoD environments.
• Knowledge of industry-accepted standards and best practices related to Software Development, Cloud Computing, Cybersecurity.
• Demonstrated experience in a DOD IT environment/preferred with the Army.
