Job summary

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of carrier-class networking architecture: WDM, IP/MPLS/GMPLS/Ethernet.
• Functional experience in sales engineering or product management is essential.
• Proficiency in writing scripts using Excel, Matlab, Python or similar tools.
• Experience with tools such as OPNET, VPISystems, RSoft, Wandl, Cariden is highly desirable.
• Strong skills in Optical Link Budget Engineering, Non-Linear simulation, and Layer 1 networking.
• Experience in provisioning, installation, and testing of DWDM systems is an advantage.
• Excellent scripting, Excel, and SQL skills; familiarity with Perl, C++, Java or Visual Basic.

Your expertise will be instrumental in supporting RFP/RFQ responses and providing field support for network planning and deployment activities.

• Support RFP/RFQ Network Design responses and network optimization, ensuring accurate and timely submissions.
• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert, providing guidance and expertise to the field team for network planning and deployment.
• Research and develop technical specifications, evaluating vendor and internal options to determine the best products and facilities.
• Utilize network transition strategies to design optimal architecture for new products and platforms.

• 5+ years of relevant industry experience, with a strong preference for 3+ years of experience in 3rd party network design or optimization tools.

• Functional experience in sales engineering or product management is essential.

• Strong technical skills in Optical Link Budget Engineering, Non-Linear simulation, and Layer 1 networking.
• Prior experience in Provisioning, Installation, and Testing of DWDM systems is an advantage.
• Excellent scripting, Excel, and SQL skills, along with familiarity with Relational Databases and programming languages like Perl, C++, Java, or Visual Basic.
• Ability to work independently, collaborate with remote teams, and demonstrate strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
