Job summary

CEdge Inc is seeking a System Administrator to support on-site client operations at Scott AFB, IL. The role requires Secret clearance and a background in secure DoD-style environments.

You will manage patching, STIGs, and security baselines while maintaining documentation and incident response practices. Collaboration with clients and internal teams is essential to ensure high availability and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting federal or DoD systems with secure operations.
• Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
• Understanding of security frameworks and compliance requirements.
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and incident response tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage OS patching, infrastructure upgrades, and STIG checklists.
• Maintain system architecture documentation including hardware lists, topology diagrams, and DB design docs.
• Implement and maintain security baselines (NIST, CNSS, DISA STIG, USTRANSCOM) across environments.
• Ensure compliance and requirements for data protection and privacy.
• Configure and maintain security logging, auditing, tracing, and runtime telemetry.
• Leverage Jira and Confluence for structured change control and workflow alignment.

Objective: Support the Clients system throughensuring secure, efficient, and scalable operations across NIPR and SIPRenvironments, maintaining high availability, compliance, and operationalresilience.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage operating system patching, infrastructure upgrades, and Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) checklists.
• Maintainand update system architecture documentation, including hardware lists, topology diagrams, and database design documents.
• Implementand maintain robust security baselines (NIST, CNSS, DISA STIG, USTRANSCOM)across all environments.
• Ensurecompliance and requirements for data protection and privacy.
• Configureand maintain security logging, structured auditing, distributed tracing,and runtime telemetry.
• Leveragemanagement tools (Jira, Confluence) for structured engineering changecontrol, backlog refinement, and workflow alignment.

Required Qualifications

• Experiencesupporting federal or DoD systems, including secure operations.

• Strongunderstanding of security frameworks and compliance requirements.

Mid Foundational with one of the following:

Education : Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Engineering Management, Management Information Systems, Mathematics, or related STEM degree program.

Minimum experience : 1-4 years.
