Job summary

Independent Software, Inc. seeks a System Administrator, Level 1 to provide hands-on support for mission-critical IT systems, ensuring secure, reliable operations and smooth user access.

You will monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain infrastructure across servers, storage, networks, and endpoints. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a technical field, five years of system admin experience (or more), DoD 8570.01-M IAT II certification, and an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university.
• Five (5) years of System Administrator experience on programs of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Five (5) additional years of System Administrator experience may be substituted for a degree.
• DoD 8570.01-M compliant with Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II.
• Active TS SCI with appropriate Polygraph; contract award contingent.

What You Will Do

As a System Administrator, Level 1 at Independent Software, you will provide hands‑on support for the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems supporting mission‑critical operations. You will support day‑to‑day IT operations, including monitoring systems, resolving technical issues, and assisting users with system access and functionality. This role is ideal for someone with foundational system administration experience looking to grow in a fast‑paced, mission‑driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide support for the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems
