Job summary

RTX in El Segundo, CA is seeking a Systems Administrator to provide IT systems administration in a heterogeneous Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux environment. You will work as a team member in a fast-paced setting, resolve hardware and OS issues, and support security requirements.

Role is full-time and onsite with occasional after-hours work and up to 10% travel to other US locations. Must obtain DoD 8140/8570 certification within 6 months. Active Secret clearance required.

Qualifications

• Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
• Experience with Windows and/or Linux.

What You Will Do:

• Provide IT systems administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and RedHatEnterpriseLinuxenvironment.

• Working as a team member in afast-pacedtechnologicalenvironment.Use troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical problems of basic to moderate scope and complexity to include the integration of hardware and operating systems.

• Work with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements.

• Must be able to obtain Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification) within 6 months of start date.

• Systems are operational 24x7 and occasionally require work effort beyond standard work hours.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically requires a University degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field.

• Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

• Experience with Windows and/or Linux.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Must have an active Secret US security clearance. US citizenship is required as only US citizens are eligible for security clearance

• Experience Deploying Windows workstations and migrating end-user data.

• Experience with cloning techniques.

• Use and guide use of automation tools e.g. Ansible.

• Experience with operating system concepts and implementations.

• Microsoft Windows Active Directory Services administration and support (e.g. user and computer objects administration, Group Policy).

• Experience with network services related to Microsoft Windows environment (e.g. DC, DNS, DHCP, etc.).

• Experience with supporting desktop / workstation hardware.

• Experience with an IT incident/service request system.

The salary range for this role is 75,800 USD - 144,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
