Job summary

SURVICE Engineering is seeking a System Administrator to support the Corporate IT Department in Belcamp, MD. The role focuses on securing and maintaining Windows and Linux servers, VDI environments, and policy compliance to support defense-related projects.

The successful candidate will join a team balancing on-site work with occasional complex troubleshooting, ensuring secure IT operations for the organization and its stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical field and 1+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience managing Linux systems, Red Hat Enterprise Linux or derivatives preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Endpoint management solutions (Intune, SCCM) preferred.
  • Ability to interpret policy frameworks and work in a multi-project environment.
  • Team-focused attitude and willingness to work on-site five days a week.

Responsibilities

  • Provision, maintain, and secure server and network infrastructure (Windows and Linux).
  • Manage Microsoft Endpoint solutions and support imaging, updates, and inventory.
  • Maintain VDI server components and virtual desktop images.
  • Ensure compliance with classified computing environment and security policy.
  • Provide level-2 helpdesk support and document internal processes.
  • Collaborate with vendors for advanced troubleshooting and cyber security support.
