Job summary

Venteon is seeking an IT Systems Administrator in Ann Arbor, MI to support Windows and Linux environments, configure hardware/software, manage user access, and strengthen system security. The role requires independent work and collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will hold an IT-related degree and at least 3 years in a Help Desk/Systems Administrator role, with a current security clearance or eligibility. U.S. citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Must possess a current government security clearance in good standing or have the ability to obtain one.
• Associate degree or higher in Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Help Desk, Systems Administrator, or related IT infrastructure role.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot computer hardware, software, workstations, servers, and peripherals.
• Administer Windows and Linux operating systems across both desktop and server environments.
• Perform system patching, operating system updates, and security updates.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access.
• Monitor and review system logs to identify potential issues or security concerns.
• Participate in incident response and troubleshooting activities.
• Support vulnerability management initiatives and remediation efforts.
• Develop, document, monitor, and report on IT security programs in accordance with applicable management, operational, and technical controls.
• Assist with maintaining compliance with applicable IT security policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Configure and maintain desktop, laptop, server, and network hardware.
• Provide technical training and guidance to staff as needed.
• Serve as a technical resource to management and other employees.
• Communicate regularly with internal staff and external organizations regarding technical initiatives, projects, and updates.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and system procedures.
• Work both independently and collaboratively to resolve technical issues and support organizational initiatives.
