Job summary

First City Credit Union is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to manage and optimize server performance, capacity, and availability. You will analyze logs, tune resources, and ensure recoverability while maintaining inventories and access controls.

Collaboration with vendors and auditors is expected. The role requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent and 4–5 years in a regulated financial services environment, with preferred Microsoft, VMware, CompTIA, and CCNA/CCNP/CCSP

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 4–5 years of system administration experience in financial services, credit union, or regulated environment.
• System administrator certifications (Microsoft, VMware, CompTIA or equivalent) preferred.
• Network certifications (CCNA, CCNP, CCSP or equivalent) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze logs and tune resources to optimize system/server performance, capacity and availability.
• Troubleshoot interface issues, repair faulty hardware, and resolve complex problems as needed.
• Develop, document, and follow standard operating procedures and architecture diagrams.
• Maintain inventories of IT equipment, licenses, and hardware.
• Manage user accounts, network rights, security permissions, and access to systems.
• Plan, execute, and verify data redundancy, perform backups, and implement disaster recovery procedures.
• Coordinate with vendors and service providers.
• Participate in audits, examinations, and risk remediation efforts
