We are looking for an experienced Senior Linux Administrator / SRE who can identify and implement IT infrastructure improvements, including virtualization, network, storage, and Linux OS administration. The right candidate will work within our Operations Team to deliver innovative solutions to real-world problems that negatively impact our customers. The Senior Engineer will be responsible for both improving our customers’ experience and optimizing the operation of our cloud infrastructure.

You will

• Manage and maintain Linux systems, ensuring performance, security, and reliability.
• Root cause analysis and elimination of infrastructure downtime or performance issues.
• Document, measure, and report metrics such as performance, failures, and version info.
• Implement monitoring tools and proactively resolve system issues.
• Develop and maintain backup and disaster recovery procedures.
• Automate routine tasks using scripting (e.g., Ansible, Bash) and configuration management tools.
• Create and manage containers for deploying applications and services.
• Implement centralized logging and analysis for system and application logs.
• Maintain security best practices to protect systems and data.
• Conduct performance analysis and optimization of Linux and Windows systems and applications.

What We Are Looking For

• Expert-level skills in systems administration and engineering, with understanding of cloud infrastructure components including hardware, OS, applications, databases, networks, web and application servers. Experience managing large-scale server infrastructure in cloud or MSP environments is highly desirable. Strong Linux expertise is essential.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting services in a production environment covering web front-end, systems, networks, and storage.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code technologies such as Ansible and Terraform.

• Solid understanding of the OSI model; CCNA Switching certification is a plus.

• Experience with network storage solutions like Ceph or NFS.

• Experience with GitLab CI, AWX/Ansible deployments; Jenkins knowledge is a plus.

• Familiarity with IaaS orchestration technologies such as OpenStack or CloudStack.

• Knowledge of databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, MariaDB; proficiency preferred.

• Experience with monitoring and performance tools like ELK stack and Prometheus.

• Understanding of ITIL v4 framework and its application to incidents, problems, and changes.

• Knowledge of Agile frameworks like Kanban.

• Good Spanish communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.

• Scripting experience with Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
