Job summary

Annapurna Labs (U.S.) Inc. in Austin, TX is seeking a System Development Engineer II to build tools that automate and streamline fleet operations, and to respond to large scale events impacting these fleets.

You will diagnose and fix critical software and system failures, mentor other engineers, provide daytime support for operational tickets, and drive automation and scalability with SQL-based database queries across Windows, Linux, or Unix environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics or related field.
• 1 year of experience in supporting large-scale, multi-tiered, distributed software applications.
• Experience designing and implementing provisioning platforms using shell scripting; proficient in SQL and at least one scripting language.

Position Responsibilities: Build tools that automate and streamline processes to make fleet

Provide support and technical consultation to Amazon internal customers.

Position Requirements: Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics or a related field and one (1) year of experience in the job offered, or as a Systems Administrator, or a related occupation. Must have one (1) year of experience in the following skills: supporting large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services; designing and implementing platforms to deliver provisioning using shell scripting; experience with programming languages including SQL, PowerShell, Perl, Bash, Python, PHP, or Ruby; supporting and maintaining database servers including MySQL, Oracle, or equivalent database; and troubleshooting systemic problems in a Windows, Linux, or Unix based environment.
40 hours/week, 8:00am – 5:00pm, Salary Range: $129,200 - $174,800
