Responsibilities

• Sets up and operates tools according to instructions, specifications, and setup sheets.
• Studies blueprints, work orders, and other specifications to ensure the proper setup sequence is followed.
• Gathers and sets tools.
• Sets up bar feeders.
• Verifies first article part before production.
• Monitors machine performance for quality.
• Checks measuring instruments for proper function.
• Sets and adjusts controls to regulate machines.
• Sharpen tools as needed.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Currently seeking a Swiss Set-Up Operator in the Cleveland, OH area.

Position description is below:

The Swiss Set-Up Operator ensures machinery is set up, works properly, and conforms with (and can produce materials that conform with) company quality, quantity, efficiency standards, performs intricate and close tolerance machining of small, advanced precision components using CNC Swiss Machines. Must be proficient in the operation and set up of CNC Swiss machines to complete parts in estimated time. The position involves the simultaneous operation and set up of multiple machines. The position runs production lots, communicates with co-workers regarding production runs, and maintains a safe, organized and clean work environment.

• Sets up and operates tools according to instructions, specifications, and set up sheets.
• Studies blueprints, work orders, and other specifications to ensure the proper setup sequence is followed.
• Gathers and sets tools.
• Sets up bar feeders.
• Ensures good first article part prior to production run.
• Observes each machine to verify quality performance.
• Verifies measuring instruments such as gauges, calipers, and micrometers are in proper working order.
• Sets and adjusts necessary controls to regulate machines.
• Sharpens tools with bench grinder as needed.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Compensation:

$80,000 per year
