HireArt is helping our client find a Swiss German Language Expert (Audio Quality & Dialect Review) to review conversational audio collected for AI voice projects, ensuring authentic dialect use, natural speech, audio quality, and adherence to project guidelines.

In this role, you'll evaluate recorded customer-service conversations between contributors and an AI agent, assessing dialect accuracy, pronunciation, clarity, and naturalness. You'll also provide feedback to help improve review guidelines and support the quality of AI-generated voice interactions.

The ideal candidate is fluent in Swiss German, has a strong understanding of regional dialects, and can confidently identify nuances in pronunciation and conversational speech. You're detail-oriented, consistent in applying review guidelines, and comfortable providing clear, actionable feedback in English. Please note that this is a project-based role, and working hours will vary depending on project availability.

As a Swiss German Language Expert, you'll:

• Listen to recorded customer-service conversations between contributors and an AI agent.
• Evaluate dialect accuracy, pronunciation, speech clarity, and conversational naturalness, flagging any uncertainty.
• Review recordings for compliance with project instructions and quality standards.
• Provide concise written feedback and recommendations for improvement.
• Help refine dialect-specific guidance, examples, and review criteria.

Requirements

• Strong fluency in Swiss German, with familiarity in at least one of the following dialects:
  • Zurich German
  • Bernese German
  • Aargau German
  • St. Gallen / Eastern Swiss German
  • Basel German (Basel-Stadt or Basel-Landschaft)
  • Lucerne German
• Strong ability to recognize regional speech patterns, pronunciation differences, and natural conversational language
• Ability to consistently apply review guidelines and provide clear written feedback in English
• Excellent attention to detail and listening skills
• Access to a reliable computer, stable internet connection, headphones, and a quiet listening environment
• Ability to complete a short audio and dialect review assessment if requested

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in linguistics, language teaching, transcription, audio review, or quality assurance

Additional Information

Candidates are not required to be proficient in all six dialects but should specify which dialects they speak naturally and can confidently assess.

Commitment:

This is an ongoing, part-time, project-based contract position staffed via HireArt. The role is remote and available to U.S.-based candidates, excluding those in California and Illinois. Hours and assignment duration will vary based on project availability.
