Job summary

Belden Universal in Hillside, IL is seeking a Swiss-type CNC Setup/Operator to set up and run Swiss/Star CNC machines in the power transmission sector. You will study work orders, adjust tooling, verify first parts, and document production logs while following GD&T and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Proficient in basic G-code editing and CNC programming.
• Strong verbal communication and teamwork abilities.
• Experience with process improvement and tooling coordination.
• Knowledge of controls, instrumentation, and quality systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan machining by studying work orders, blueprints, and GD&T.
• Set up and operate Swiss/Star CNC machinery to meet tight tolerances.
• Install and adjust tooling on lathes; load stock into position.
• Measure parts and verify settings; document production logs.
• Maintain safety, perform basic PM, and troubleshoot issues.
