Job summary

PDM Steel Service in Stockton, CA is seeking a Warehouse/Material Handler to support receiving, storing, and distributing steel products. This role includes operating hand and power tools, forklifts, and cranes, and requires the swing shift from 1:30p to 10p.

You will perform duties according to work orders, maintain safety inspections, label and package material, and help stage rail cars for unloading while following production standards and company policies.

Qualifications

• 1 year of warehouse experience or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders and instructions.
• Knowledge of safety rules and procedures for material handling.

Responsibilities

• Receive, move, gather, package, and distribute material.
• Package material per work orders.
• Operate forklift or crane to move material.
• Inspect, label, and tag material as required.
• Perform daily safety inspections on cranes and forklifts.
• Stage rail cars inside and outside for unloading.
• Carry out tasks assigned by Supervisor/Manager.
