Job summary

Wagstaff in Spokane Valley is seeking a materials handler to receive, inspect and route incoming materials. You’ll pull and route inventory for sales and work orders, and ensure items are moved to the correct departments.

The role requires forklift, crane and pallet jack experience, a valid driver’s license and at least one year in materials control or receiving. Overtime may be required to meet production needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• 1 year materials control/receiving experience.
• Experience operating forklift, cranes and pallet jacks.

Responsibilities

• Unload material using forklifts, cranes and pallet jacks.
• Receive incoming material from external and internal sources.
• Inspect material for damage and verify against bill of lading/packing list.
• Verify material type/quantity; reject damaged goods.
• Label material with appropriate information before movement.
• Route incoming goods to proper department or destination.
• Perform cycle counts as scheduled.
• Issue parts to work centers for sales/work orders.
• Operate vehicles to pick up and deliver materials.
• Follow Wagstaff Quality System procedures.
• Maintain clean, organized work area; may exceed 40 hours as needed.
• Maintain ISO documentation as assigned.
• Research disposition of parts on unclosed work orders.
• Other duties as assigned.
