Job summary

Wet Noses Natural Dog Treat Company is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for the swing shift (2pm - 10:30pm, Mon-Fri). The role focuses on preventive maintenance, troubleshooting PLCs/VFDs, and keeping production lines running smoothly in a dog treat facility.

The ideal candidate will read schematics, support system improvements, and perform inspections to meet SQF standards. Welding experience is a plus but not required; strong safety discipline is essential.

Qualifications

Experience performing preventive maintenance on production equipment and documenting issues/resolutions.
Ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, service manuals, and work orders.
Experience with PLCs, VFDs, sensors, and control panels.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) and process work orders efficiently.
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
Read and interpret schematics and manuals for precise maintenance tasks.
Inspect equipment to ensure sanitation and SQF standards are met.
Support upgrades to production and processing systems and assist with installations.
Disassemble and inspect malfunctioning parts and assess wear and tolerances.
Calibrate machinery and control instruments to maintain performance.
Use hand and power tools, meters, and equipment safely.
Follow safety protocols and report deviations.
