I. Job Summary

Safely operates a heavy-duty truck to perform assigned duties on swing routes. Safely drives a heavy-duty Commercial vehicle into a variety of environments, including Residential, Commercial, and Construction sites.

Responsibilities include:

  • Operating vehicle in accordance with OSHA, DOT, and all local, state, and federal regulations, maintaining a clean and safe vehicle.
  • Performing pre- and post-trip inspections using DVIR, noting issues for repair.
  • Reporting unsafe situations or service calls immediately to Route Manager or Dispatch.
  • Participating in scheduled training and meetings.
  • Working with Route Managers to improve route efficiency and safety.
  • Completing all duties as scheduled, assisting other drivers as needed.
  • Reporting incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage.
  • Communicating issues like blocked containers or missed pick-ups to Dispatch or Route Manager.
  • Ensuring containers are dumped properly, leaving the customer site clean.
  • Completing customer tickets for excess yardage removal.
  • Positioning containers correctly on customer property, ensuring safety and accessibility.
  • Following route assignments and completing documentation at route end.

Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of operating a vehicle requiring a CDL or equivalent military driving experience within the last 7 years.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Legally eligible to work in the country where the job is located.
  • Class B CDL license.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED (accredited).
