Job summary

PIPESTONE is seeking a part-time Farm Technician for its swine operation in rural South Dakota. You will follow farm management directions, complete daily production tasks, and maintain records to support sow and gilt production while adhering to bio-security and safety protocols.

The role requires standing and walking up to 8–10 hours, weekend availability, and reliable transportation. Training is provided through My Pipestone modules, including Animal Welfare and Safety, with 401(k) and PTO

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• No experience required; 1+ years livestock preferred.
• My Pipestone training courses: Introduction, Animal Welfare, Employee Handbook, PQA, Safety.

Responsibilities

• Follow farm protocols to maximize sow and gilt production and efficiencies.
• Complete production paperwork accurately and on time; communicate with management.
• Adhere to bio-security and safety guidelines; monitor animal welfare and ventilation.
