Job summary

JBS Foods in Cameron, OK is seeking a Boar Stud Tech to support pork production on farms owned by JBS Live Pork. Duties include semen collection support, administering medications, feeding, cleaning, and maintaining veterinary records in a hands-on barn environment.

The role requires physical labor, ability to work early shifts and every other weekend, and reliable transportation. Training and safety protocols are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Adept at multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to work every other weekend.
• Able to bend, push, grasp and pull up to 80 lbs.
• Reliable transportation and attendance.

Responsibilities

• Swine husbandry: feeding/watering/moving
• Assisting with Boar semen collection process
• Handling and administering medications and vaccinations
• Vaccinating and medicating boars
• Cleaning and disinfection of facilities, including removal of mortality and waste
• Maintaining records of animal production and veterinary products
• Animal identification including ear tagging
• Attending Safety training
• Animal welfare adherence
• Animal feeding and feeder management
• Basic maintenance needs (welding, plumbing, electrical, carpentry)
• Euthanasia of animals when needed
• Housekeeping duties in housing, office/shower/kitchen/lab areas
• Any other tasks requested by Assistant or Manager
