Job summary

Seaboard Foods in Holyoke, MA is seeking empathetic animal caretakers to care for pigs in our swine production facilities. On-the-job training is provided; no prior experience required.

You will monitor feed and water, maintain barn conditions, and assist with vaccination and basic husbandry tasks while upholding strict animal welfare standards in a fast-paced farm environment. This entry-level role emphasizes reliability and teamwork in a clean, safety-conscious setting.

Qualifications

• No education or experience required.
• Basic math skills required.
• Flexible and able to work on assigned weekends (Saturday/Sunday).
• Bilingual in English and Spanish helpful, but not required.
• Must be able to work in farm environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor feed quality and water supply.
• Monitor barn environment and ventilation systems.
• Treat and vaccinate sick animals as necessary.
• Breed sows (if placed on sow farm).
• Process piglets (if placed on sow farm).
• Load and unload pigs as scheduled.
• Maintain farm cleanliness.
