Job summary

Seaboard Foods is seeking an Animal Caretaker to care for pigs in swine production facilities. On-the-job training is provided; related experience is not required. You will monitor feed and water, barn conditions, and assist with breeding or processing as needed.

No formal education or prior experience is required; basic math skills and weekend availability are expected. Bilingual English/Spanish helpful but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• No education or experience required.
• Basic math skills are necessary.
• Flexible to work weekends (Sat/Sun).
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is helpful but not required.
• Must be able to work in a farm environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor feed quality and water supply.
• Monitor barn environment and ventilation systems.
• Treat and vaccinate sick animals as necessary.
• Breed sows (if placed on sow farm).
• Process piglets (if placed on sow farm).
• Load and unload pigs as scheduled.
• Maintain farm cleanliness.
