Job summary

Aqua-Tots Swim School in Arvada, CO is hiring a Water Safety Instructor to teach life-saving skills and provide a safe, engaging learning environment for children. This role offers both part-time and full-time schedules, with weekly pay and paid training.

You will travel for training to Lone Tree or Littleton locations, participate in ongoing team trainings, and enjoy benefits including health coverage, a 401(k) with company match, PTO, and employee discounts.

Qualifications

• Able to work at least two shifts per week.
• Comfortable in water and able to swim.
• Positive, energetic and patient attitude.
• Experience with children preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach life-saving skills using the Aqua-Tots curriculum for all ages.
• Maintain a safe environment and follow safety procedures.
• Build relationships with families and provide progress updates.
• Educate and clearly communicate curriculum and progression.
• Maintain pool readiness and log chemical results.
• Assist with cleaning tasks around the pool area.
• Track student progress with Aqua-Cards after shifts.
• Collaborate with the team and attend trainings.

(Indoor Pool Instructor, WSI, Swim Coach) - 18 years and older!

Location: Arvada, Colorado

Job Type: Part time, Full time

Pay: $15.50-16/hour + bonuses

Schedule: Flexible availability required, including mornings/afternoons/evenings and weekends

Our next training session is August 16–23!

Candidates must have open availability throughout training week and be willing to travel to either our Lone Tree or Littleton location for training.

What You'll Do

• Teach Life-Saving Skills: Deliver engaging swim lessons using the Aqua-Tots curriculum for all ages and skill levels
• Ensure a Safe Environment: Maintain constant awareness of pool safety and follow all safety procedures, including Minor In-Water Incident protocols
• Build Family Relationships: Connect with families and provide updates on student progress and development
• Educate & Communicate: Answer parent questions and confidently explain curriculum, progression, and next steps
• Maintain Pool Readiness: Check pool chemicals, log results, and ensure the pool area is clean, organized, and safe
• Support the Swim School Environment: Assist with cleaning tasks including pool deck, windows, and showers
• Track Student Progress: Complete Aqua-Cards accurately at the end of each shift
• Collaborate with the Team: Attend trainings, staff meetings, and support team goals under the guidance of the Lead on Duty

What We're Looking For

Preferred:

• Experience working with children (coaching, teaching, camps, babysitting, etc.)
