Job summary

A leading swim instruction organization in Omaha is looking for a Swim Instructor to teach swimming skills to children. This role allows for flexible part-time hours and provides an opportunity to work in a fun environment that encourages joy in water safety. While previous swim instruction experience is preferred, it is not necessary. Candidates must enjoy working with kids and be reliable. The ideal candidate will also be open to obtaining CPR certification. Compensation ranges from $15 to $16 per hour based on experience.

Responsibilities

• Organize class time for skill introduction and repetition.
• Maintain proper equipment and ensure timely class starts.

LOCATION: 7051 S 181st St. Omaha, NE 68136

We are actively recruiting individuals we can train to become the best Swim Instructors in the industry. Whether you're retired and looking for part-time hours in a job you'll enjoy or you're looking for your first job that offers potential to build your way up through one of the fastest growing swim schools in the country, we have a place for you!

Hours: 10-20 hours per week
Days: Varies; Open Monday through Sunday - both am and pm shifts available

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• The main focus of a swim instructor is to teach swimming skills in accordance with Swimtastic® curriculum in a fun, positive manner.
• Provide continuous, positive corrective feedback to students and customers on their swimming efforts.
• Structure class time appropriately to incorporate repetition, reinforcement, and introduction of required skills.
• Maintain proper equipment and time organization to ensure timely class start times.
• Provide customers with monthly, individualized feedback on swimmers during Splash ‘N Tell week.

Position Qualifications and Requirements

• Previous swim instruction experience is preferred, but not required. Loving kids and being reliable with the ability to swim is an absolute necessity.
• Willing to certify in CPR-PR/AED, First Aid for adult, swimmer and infants
• Training in the Swimtastic® curriculum will be provided - just bring joy!

Compensation: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour (varies based on experience)
