Job summary

SafeSplash Swim Schools in Rhode Island seeks a dedicated Swim Instructor to teach the official curriculum to students of all ages. You will provide ongoing feedback to students and parents, maintain class structure for optimal learning, and ensure water safety at all times.

The role requires weekend and weeknight availability, on-site work, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Paid training and daily pay options are available, with free swim lessons for immediate family members.

Qualifications

• CPR/AED and First Aid certification for Adult, Child, and Infant (or obtained within first 30 days)
• Completion of SafeSplash curriculum training within first 30 days
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
• Comfortable around water for extended periods
• Comfortable working with children for extended periods

Responsibilities

• Teach swimming skills per SafeSplash curriculum in a fun, engaging manner
• Provide continuous, positive feedback to students and parents on progress
• Structure class time to maximize learning through repetition and new skill introduction
• Track and document students' progress daily for proper placement
• Conduct monthly Splash n’ Tell sessions for parents' feedback
