Goldfish Swim School - Chesapeake is hiring energetic Swim Instructors to teach kids using our curriculum in a safe, structured, and positive environment. This entry-level role emphasizes progress, protection, and a great experience for every class.

You’ll lead classes, enforce pool rules, monitor safety, respond to incidents with appropriate first aid, track progress, and communicate with parents. Training is paid if needed and opportunities to advance exist.

Formación

• At least 16 years old.
• Comfortable with children; patient, upbeat, dependable.
• Strong communication and organization.
• Must pass background checks.
• Lifeguard, CPR/AED, and First Aid required (paid training if not certified).

What You’ll Do

Goldfish Swim School - Chesapeake is hiring a part and full-time Swim Instructors to help kids build confidence in the water while keeping every lesson safe, structured, and positive. This entry-level role matters because families count on us for progress, protection, and a great experience—every class.

Key responsibilities include teaching swim skills using the Goldfish Swim School curriculum, enforcing pool rules, monitoring for safety concerns, responding to incidents with appropriate first aid/rescue actions, tracking student progress and paperwork, and communicating clearly with parents/guardians. You’ll also help with basic deck setup, equipment care, and occasional light cleaning.

Required qualifications/skills:

• At least 16 years old
• Comfortable working with children; patient, upbeat, and dependable
• Strong communication and organization
• Must pass background examinations
• Lifeguard, CPR/AED, and First Aid certification required (paid training available if not certified)

A Typical Shift

You’ll arrive a little early to get settled on deck, check in with the team, and review the day’s lesson flow. As families come in, you’ll help create a welcoming start, then move through a steady rhythm of classes in a warm, lively pool environment. Between sessions, you’ll reset your station, update notes on swimmer progress, and connect briefly with parents about how things went.
