Job summary

Grand Rapids Kroc Center is seeking a part-time Swim Instructor to design and deliver swim lessons for all ages and abilities. You will prepare lesson plans, supervise pool areas, and ensure safety while fostering engagement and skill development.

Responsibilities include maintaining equipment, reporting progress, and coordinating with the program manager on scheduling. Must be able to read and write in English; Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 17 years old.
• Experience teaching swim or coaching.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English; Spanish preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills.
• Able to function with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Instruct swimming lessons with a structured lesson plan.
• Maintain pool area cleanliness and safety.
• Assist with setup, inventory of lesson equipment.
• Demonstrate swimming techniques and manage classes.
• Provide feedback and track progress for participants.
