Job Summary

The City of Bellevue is seeking Swim Instructors to work at the Bellevue Aquatic Center. The role offers flexible hours in a fun, friendly work environment with the opportunity to help students of all ages develop life‑saving skills and confidence in the water.

Hours

Morning, afternoon, evenings, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide swim instruction in both group and private lesson formats to various age groups.
• Ensure a safe and enjoyable aquatic experience for all participants.
• Perform tasks such as supervising, maintaining equipment, and following safety protocols.

Physical Demands

• Walk, talk, hear, and maintain vision for extended periods.
• Push, pull, lift, and/or carry up to 20 pounds.
• Swim 300 yards continuously.
• Submerge to a depth of 13 feet.
• Operate in an environment with a high noise level.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 15 years old.
• 15‑year‑old applicants must possess an active lifeguard certification.
• Preferred to hold a current American Red Cross Lifeguard certification.
• Excellent communication skills and comfort working with patrons in the water.
• Candidate must pass a criminal background check prior to employment.
