Job Objective

In collaboration with the General Manager and Aquatics Team, the Aqua‑Tots Water Safety Instructor (AT‑WSI) will provide swim lessons that adhere to the Aqua‑Tots Swim Schools brand standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Help prevent drownings by working with the community to provide a standard of excellence in teaching children and adults water safety.
• Ensure parents are involved in students' experience by engaging them before class and providing concise quality feedback after class.
• Collaborate with the entire staff team to ensure the school is show ready before, during, and after all operating hours.
• Ensure knowledge of the school EAP and report any safety concerns to AM/GM.
• Contribute to a positive and professional work environment by embracing core values, maintaining healthy relationships with staff and supervisors, and encouraging teammates.
• Understand and embrace your role in development as an Aqua‑Tots employee and as a professional in the workplace.

Work Week Basics

• 3–4+ teaching shifts per week.
• Fixed schedule.
• Flexible hours for students.

Lifeguards, swim instructors, swim coaches, water safety, teachers are all welcome; we train, so no experience required!

Employment contingent on successfully completing a background check and pre‑employment drug screening.

Work Type

Part‑time (must work at least 25 hours weekly). For full‑time candidates, double shifts and weekend shifts will be needed to reach 40 hours.

Schedule

Shifts include:

• Mon–Fri: ~9 a.m.–1 p.m. or 1:30 p.m.–5 p.m.
• Mon–Fri: ~3 p.m. or 3:30 p.m.–8 p.m.
• Sat: ~8:30 a.m.–1 p.m. or 2 p.m.
• Sun: ~8:30 a.m.–1 p.m. or 2 p.m.

Location

Norwood, MA (Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work). In‑person work.
