Job summary

Aqua-Tots Swim School in Tustin, CA is looking for an energetic Swim Instructor who loves children and swimming. You will teach kids in a fun, safe environment and see them gain confidence as they progress through our curriculum.

This onsite role offers paid training, weekly pay, flexible part-time shifts, and weekend options. Starting pay is $19+ per hour, with room to grow in a positive team culture. No prior teaching experience is required; comprehensive training is provided.

Qualifications

• Provide a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all safety guidelines and Aqua-Tots procedures.
• Attend monthly in-service training.
• Track student swim progression through levels.
• Provide outstanding customer service to all guests.
• 4-6 hour shifts teaching 8 or 9 classes back to back.
• Availability for one weekend shift (Sat or Sun 8:30am-3pm).

WHAT DOES A SWIM INSTRUCTOR DO?

As a Swim Instructor, you will have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of our students every day. You will be responsible for teaching swimming lessons to children of all ages and skill levels, helping them develop their water safety skills and enhance their swimming abilities. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include creating and implementing lesson plans, conducting group and individual lessons, and providing constructive feedback to students and their parents.

You will also be responsible for ensuring the safety of all participants in the pool area and maintaining a clean and organized teaching environment. No prior teaching experience is necessary, as we provide comprehensive training to all new instructors. However, a passion for swimming, a positive attitude, and the ability to work well with children are essential for success in this role.
