Job summary

Brick Bodies Timonium is seeking a part-time Aquatics Instructor to deliver swim lessons, assess student progress, and uphold safety standards at our Timonium, MD facility.

You will use teaching aids, assist with class supervision, and provide high-quality customer service to members while promoting our core values and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Experience in aquatic instruction preferred.
• WSI certification preferred.
• Lifeguard Training and First Aid completed.
• Ability to work independently and energetically.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Positive attitude with the commitment to excellence.

Responsibilities

• Teach swim lessons and demonstrate skills.
• Use teaching aids such as kick-boards and life jackets.
• Evaluate students learning to swim.
• Identify weaknesses and tailor training.
• Help students overcome water fear and learn safety.
• Provide life-saving techniques to self and others.
• Submit reports of students and attendance.
• Attend meetings and trainings.
• Ensure safety of aquatic members and supervision.
• Maintain clean and tidy aquatic center.

Job Details: Job Location: 20 Brick Bodies Padonia - Timonium, MD 21093, Position Type: Part Time, Salary Range: $17.50 - $19.00 Hourly, Travel Percentage: None.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Knowledge of and the ability to demonstrate skills in swim lessons instruction


• Knowledge of skills required for class content and the use of teaching aids such as kick-boards, diving rings, life-jackets, etc


• Evaluate students who are learning to swim


• Taking note of the weaknesses of students and training them accordingly


• Helping students get past their fear of water and swimming


• Teaching them life-saving techniques for themselves and to help save others lives


• Demonstrates quality swim lessons


• Submit reports of students along with attendance regularly


• Attend meetings and training


• Recognize and praise behavior aligned with our values


• Identify opportunities for continual improvement


• Provide world-class customer service to our members and guests


• Ensure our aquatic members are safe and supervised at all times


• Ensure the aquatic center is clean, neat, and tidy; according to our Feng Shui Principles

Qualifications:

• Previous aquatic experience is preferred


• American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor (WSI) certification is preferred but not required.


• American Red Cross Lifeguard Training and First Aid
