Job summary

Life Time Inc. is seeking an Aquatics Swim Instructor to teach swim lessons for adults and children, assess levels, and promote Aquatics programs. The role emphasizes safety, cleanliness, and member service within our club environment.

The ideal candidate will be currently working toward a High School Diploma or GED, complete Life Time courses on hire, and hold StarGuardElite Lifeguard, BLS CPR, and First Aid certifications, with the ability to swim 25 yards and lift light weights.

Qualifications

• Working toward a High School Diploma or GED.
• Must pass Life Time courses upon hire.
• Able to swim 25 yards/meters without stopping.
• Lift up to 20 lbs and move about the club for long periods.
• StarGuardElite Lifeguard, BLS CPR, and First Aid certifications (or bridge to StarGuard).

Job description

Position Summary

As an Aquatics Swim Instructor, you will work in a fast-paced environment. You will help both adults and children improve their swimming. You will teach life skills to our youngest members and evaluate their swimming ability to establish the correct swim level. You will help to maintain the cleanliness and order of our Aquatics Facilities.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Instructs swimming lessons and Aquatics events
• Responds to member questions, comments, and concerns
• Provides a safe, clean and organized pool area
• Promotes and sells all Aquatics programs and services

Minimum Required Qualifications

Education:

• Working towards a High School Diploma or GED

Years of Experience:

• Successfully complete and pass all Life Time courses upon hire
• Ability to work in a stationery position and move about the club for prolonged periods of time
• Ability to communicate and exchange information with guests who have inquiries about Life Time products and services
• Ability to swim 25 yards/meters without stopping
• Ability to routinely and repetitively bend to lift 20 lbs or less and occasionally bend to lift more than 20lbs

Licenses / Certifications / Registrations:

• StarGuardElite Lifeguard, BLS CPR, and First Aid Certified (or bridge toStarGuardwhen current certification expires or within 1styear, whichever is first).For Canada, Lifesaving Society Lifeguard certification and Standard FA with CPR C.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Swim lesson instruction or coaching experience
