Job summary

Exos is hiring a Swim Instructor to join our team. You will teach various levels and age groups, plan lessons, demonstrate skills, and maintain a safe, positive teaching environment. Candidates should hold CPR/AED and First Aid, and lifeguarding certification or be able to obtain them at hire.

Prior lifeguarding or swim-instruction experience is preferred. You will evaluate progress, communicate with students and parents, attend trainings, maintain records, and promote a professional image.

Qualifications

• Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications or the ability to obtain the certification at the time of hire.
• Current Red Cross Lifeguarding Certification or the ability to obtain the certification at the time of hire.
• Prior lifeguarding or teaching swim lessons highly preferred.

• Attend all in-service trainings


• Maintain accurate records and prepare course completion certificates


• Perform all swimming strokes and skills taught in all levels


• Effectively communicate each student’s progress either to the student directly, or to the student’s parents where appropriate


• Project and promote a professional image


• Explain and enforce facility regulations, policies, and procedures to patrons


• Other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications or the ability to obtain the certification at the time of hire


• Current Red Cross Lifeguarding Certification or the ability to obtain the certification at the time of hire


• Prior experience lifeguarding or teaching swim lessons highly preferred

Per pay transparency requirements, the compensation for this position ranges from $52 - $82/hour in addition to admin rates as required by local law. Pay is dependent on factors including site location, specialty, certifications, duration of class, and work experience as well as other business needs.
