Job summary

Life Time Inc. in Mason, OH is seeking an Aquatics Swim Instructor. You will teach swimming to adults and children, assess levels, and help members learn valuable water safety skills while keeping the Aquatics area clean and orderly.

You’ll work in a fast‑paced environment, answer questions from members, and promote all Aquatics programs. Completion of Life Time courses and relevant certifications are preferred to support a safe, welcoming club experience.

Qualifications

• Must be working towards a High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to swim 25 yards/meters without stopping
• Ability to routinely bend to lift 20 lbs or less
• Ability to move about the club and interact with guests

Job Duties And Responsibilities

• Instructs swimming lessons and Aquatics events
• Responds to member questions, comments, and concerns
• Provides a safe, clean and organized pool area
• Promotes and sells all Aquatics programs and services

Minimum Required Qualifications

Education

• Working towards a High School Diploma or GED

Years of Experience

• Successfully complete and pass all Life Time courses upon hire
• Ability to work in a stationery position and move about the club for prolonged periods of time
• Ability to communicate and exchange information with guests who have inquiries about Life Time products and services
• Ability to swim 25 yards/meters without stopping
• Ability to routinely and repetitively bend to lift 20 lbs or less and occasionally bend to lift more than 20lbs

Licenses / Certifications / Registrations

• StarGuard Elite Lifeguard, BLS CPR, and First Aid Certified (or bridge to StarGuard when current certification expires or within 1st year, whichever is first). For Canada, Lifesaving Society Lifeguard certification and Standard FA with CPR C.

Preferred Qualifications

• Swim lesson instruction or coaching experience
