Job summary

Foss Swim School is seeking a Swim Teacher in Colorado to educate students aged children and adults using the Foss Swim Path curriculum. You will guide safe, engaging lessons in a warm indoor pool environment and help build confidence and aquatic skills.

Training is provided, with a part-time schedule of roughly 10–12 hours per week and pay starting at $19.50+ per hour, plus weekend and substitute premiums. Growth opportunities exist across our Colorado locations.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old.
• Comfortable working in a 91-degree, chlorinated indoor pool.
• Able to lift/hold up to 50 lbs.
• Positive attitude and strong communication skills.
• Experience with children preferred (aquatic experience a plus).

Responsibilities

• Teach 1-4 students per class using hands-on instruction (following the Foss Swim Path curriculum) and promote swimmer safety.
• Ensure a safe, engaging, and educational experience for students, similar to daycare or childcare settings.
• Engage with parents/guardians on swimmer progress.
• Demonstrate the Foss Cultural Pillars: Connect, Collaborate, Empower, Belong.
• Bring FUN, energy, and connection to every lesson!

Position Purpose

As a Swim Teacher at FOSS, you’ll teach life-saving swim skills to children and adults in a fun, safe, and splashy environment. No experience needed—we provide paid training to help you confidently teach our Swim Path curriculum.

Have a passion for water? Come share your love of swimming with your community and FOSS will provide you the training to confidently teach our Swim Path curriculum. You will lead the students in a structured, yet fun water environment to develop their life enriching skills to provide a lifetime of confidence and safety around water. Schedule

Part-time (3 shifts/week)

• Shift Type:3-4 hour shifts
• Weekday Evening Shifts (starting at 3:45pm)
• Weekend Shifts (+ $3.00/hour)
• Substitute Shifts (+ $1.00/hour)

Working Conditions

• Ability to work in water and go underwater to demonstrate the physical movements necessary to teach the FOSS Swim Path Curriculum.
• Work in warm, humid indoor pool environment with water temperatures up to 91 degrees.
• Ability to be exposed to noise, chemicals, industrial equipment, and supplies.
• Communicate respectively with teammates, adults, and children using clear, professional, and age-appropriate language.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
