Job summary

Life Time, Inc. is seeking an Aquatics Swim Instructor to teach swimming to adults and children, assess levels, and maintain a clean pool environment. You will support safety protocols and promote Aquatics programs while engaging with members in a fast-paced club setting.

The role requires completing Life Time certifications upon hire, strong communication skills, and the ability to swim 25 yards without stopping. This is a part-time on-site position at our Cary location.

Qualifications

• Working towards a High School Diploma or GED.
• Successfully complete and pass Life Time courses upon hire.
• Ability to swim 25 yards/meters without stopping.
• Able to lift up to 20 lbs repeatedly and more than 20 lbs occasionally.

Position Summary

As an Aquatics Swim Instructor, you will work in a fast-paced environment. You will help both adults and children improve their swimming. You will teach life skills to our youngest members and evaluate their swimming ability to establish the correct swim level. You will help to maintain the cleanliness and order of our Aquatics Facilities.

• Promotes and sells all Aquatics programs and services

Minimum Required Qualifications

Education

• Working towards a High School Diploma or GED

Years of Experience

• Successfully complete and pass all Life Time courses upon hire
• Ability to work in a stationery position and move about the club for prolonged periods of time
• Ability to communicate and exchange information with guests who have inquiries about Life Time products and services
• Ability to swim 25 yards/meters without stopping
• Ability to routinely and repetitively bend to lift 20 lbs or less and occasionally bend to lift more than 20lbs

Licenses / Certifications / Registrations

• StarGuard Elite Lifeguard, BLS CPR, and First Aid Certified (or bridge to StarGuard when current certification expires or within 1st year, whichever is first). For Canada, Lifesaving Society Lifeguard certification and Standard FA with CPR C.

Preferred Qualifications

• Swim lesson instruction or coaching experience
