Job summary

Life Time is seeking an Aquatics Swim Instructor to teach swimming to adults and children, evaluate skills, and promote aquatic programs at our facility. You’ll maintain a safe pool environment and contribute to a welcoming member experience.

Ideal candidates will have CPR/First Aid and Lifeguard certifications and be working toward a high school diploma or GED. Prior Life Time course completion is required after hire.

Qualifications

• Working toward a High School Diploma or GED.
• CPR, First Aid and Lifeguard Certifications (within 60 days of hire).
• Complete and pass Life Time courses when hired.
• Ability to work stationary and move around the club for extended periods.
• Ability to communicate with guests about Life Time products and services.
• Ability to swim 25 yards/meters without stopping.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs on a routine basis.

• Respond to member questions, comments, and concerns.

Job description

Position Summary

As an Aquatics Swim Instructor, you will work in a fast-paced environment. You will help both adults and children improve their swimming. You will teach life skills to our youngest members and evaluate their swimming ability to establish the correct swim level. You will help to maintain the cleanliness and order of our Aquatics Facilities.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Instructs swimming lessons and Aquatics events
• Responds to member questions, comments, and concerns
• Provides a safe, clean and organized pool area
• Promotes and sells all Aquatics programs and services

Position Requirements

• Working towards a High School Diploma or GED
• CPR, First Aid and Lifeguard Certifications (within 60 days of hire)
• Complete and pass all Life Time courses when hired
• Ability to work in a stationery position and move about the club for prolonged periods of time
• Ability to communicate and exchange information with guests who have inquiries about Life Time products and services
• Ability to swim 25 yards/meters without stopping
• Ability to routinely raise to lift more than 20 lbs

Preferred Requirements

• Swim lesson instruction or coaching experience

Pay

This is an hourly position with wages starting at $16.50 and pays up to $19.50, based on experience and qualifications.
