Job summary

The Ceres Group in Boston, MA seeks an onsite Software Engineer with solid SWIFT experience to drive a cloud-based Swift application for portfolio/investment accounting. You will work with React UI, microservices, and streaming architectures to deliver reliable, scalable financial software.

Key responsibilities include integrating Corporate Actions messaging and cash payments interfaces, designing REST and messaging contracts, and building self-healing services with observability tooling.

Qualifications

• Solid SWIFT experience building cloud-based Swift applications.
• Experience with React for lightweight UI and operational screens.
• Microservices architecture with Kafka / Azure Event Hubs for streaming and messaging.
• API design with REST, messaging contracts, schema versioning.
• Relational data modeling with PostgreSQL.
• Finance domain knowledge including transactions and accounting flows.
• Ability to build self-healing services and observability tooling.
• Experience in regulated financial environments.
• Experience using AI-assisted coding workflows (Copilot / LLM).

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a cloud-based Swift application as part of portfolio/investment accounting project.
• Collaborate on the core dependency for Corporate Actions messaging and cash payments integration.
• Contribute to the roadmap for a next-generation Swift module and migration from vendor tools to STT BESS.

Software Engineers with solid SWIFT experience needed for portfolio/investment accounting project.

• Swift Build cloud based Swift application
• core dependency for Corporate Actions messaging/confirmations and for Cash payments integration; roadmap includes next-gen SWIFT module.
• Currently weleveragevendor tool; would prefer to move onto STT BESS(plus)
