Job summary

Bristol Hospice in Beaver Dam, WI is seeking compassionate Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and Home Health Aides (HHAs) to join our Sweet Dreams program and interdisciplinary team.

You will care for hospice patients in their homes under RN supervision, provide personal care, comfort, and dignity, document observations, and support families while adhering to our standards of compassion and respect.

Qualifications

  • Certified Nursing Assistant or Home Health Aide per state requirements.
  • Minimum 75 hours of classroom and supervised practical training.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Licensed driver with insured automobile.
  • Willingness to submit to a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

  • Spend quality one-on-one time with patients and families.
  • Care for hospice patients with back rubs, oral hygiene, shampoos, and changing bed linen.
  • Provide bedtime care including personal hygiene.
  • Provide aroma therapy and gentle touch.
  • Record vital signs and report changes to the Case Manager.
  • Assist patients with ambulation and exercise.
  • Maintain a clean, orderly living area.
  • Adhere to documentation and care procedures and standards.
  • Participate in quality improvement teams.

This program is designed to help our patients relax and improve their chances of getting a restful night’s sleep.Coverage Area: Beaver DamWork Schedule: Monday - Friday 12pm - 8pm or 1pm - 9pmClick here to learn more about our Sweet Dreams Program.The Certified Nursing Assistant and Home Health Aide plays a critical role as a member of the Interdisciplinary Group Team.
