Job summary

Gulf Stream Construction is seeking a dedicated Sweeper Truck Driver based in Charleston, SC. You will safely operate sweepers on job sites, coordinate with field crews, and uphold our commitment to clean, professional work areas.

Ideal candidates have a High school diploma or equivalent, a Class A CDL, and a clean driving record. Prior sweeper or construction driving experience is preferred, and you will follow DOT safety requirements on every shift.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Class A CDL with clean driving record is required.
• Previous sweeper truck, construction, or commercial driving experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate sweeper trucks on jobsites, roadways, and facilities.
• Remove debris, dirt, gravel, and construction materials from assigned areas.
• Pre-trip and post-trip inspections; report maintenance issues; wash and clean interior and exterior.
• Maintain a detailed log of working hours including job, phase code, and time used.
• Communicate with supervisors and crews regarding schedules and site conditions.
• Follow all DOT, company, and jobsite safety requirements.
• Represent the company professionally with the public and clients.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

A Sweeper Truck Driver will safely and responsibly operate sweepers on the job site to maintain clean, safe, and professional work areas. The ideal candidate takes pride in the equipment, follows safety procedures, and works well independently and with field crews.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate sweeper trucks on jobsites, roadways, and facilities
• Remove debris, dirt, gravel, and construction materials from assigned areas
• Pre-trip and post-trip inspections; facilitate routine service to include checking oil, water, gasoline, and air; report maintenance malfunctions to Equipment Manager; wash and clean interior and exterior
• Maintain a detailed log of working hours to include job, phase code, and time used.
• Communicate with supervisors and crews regarding schedules and site conditions
• Follow all DOT, company, and jobsite safety requirements
• Represent the company professionally with the public and clients
• Perform other duties as assigned by management

Education and Experience

• High school education or equivalent
• Class A CDL Driver's License and clean driving record
• Previous sweeper truck, construction, or commercial driving experience preferred
