NYC Alliance Company LLC is seeking a skilled Sweater Designer to conceptualize and design sweaters that reflect our commitment to quality, style, and innovation. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet market trends and our brand identity.

Based in New York, you will collaborate with product development, marketing, and merchandising to bring designs from concept to production, mentoring junior designers and staying current with fabric trends and knitting techniques.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or related field.
• 3–5 years of sweater-focused fashion design experience.
• Experience designing for discount/off-price accounts is a plus.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating sweater design expertise.
• Proficient in design software (Adobe Creative Suite, Illustrator, PLM).
• Solid understanding of garment construction, fabrics, and knitting techniques.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Passion for fashion, branding, and market trends.
• Experience collaborating with production teams from concept to market.

Responsibilities

• Develop and design a sweater line reflecting trends and brand identity.
• Create technical sketches, specs, and presentations for production.
• Collaborate with product development, marketing, and merchandising.
• Research market trends for opportunities and differentiation.
• Oversee design process from concept to final production, ensuring quality.
• Mentor junior designers and foster creativity.
