Job summary

Conduit’s backend team is building and scaling the Conduit Platform. You will design, extend, and optimize core services, contributing to open‑source software and in‑house solutions.

As a backend engineer, you will own implementation details, collaborate across teams, and participate in an on‑call rotation to ensure reliability of large‑scale systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building and supporting production systems.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and security best practices.
• Experience translating customer, product, and business requirements into scalable solutions.
• Proficiency debugging across the stack, including networking, performance, or memory leaks.
• Excellent collaboration with other engineers (mentoring, reviews, design reviews).

About the Role

Conduit’s backend team develops the systems powering the Conduit Platform. You will play a key role in designing, building, and scaling the next generation of services for the Conduit Platform. Your tasks entail extending and enhancing open-source software as well as crafting in-house solutions.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and evolve the core Conduit Platform
• Deliver scalable and robust software solutions in a DevOps environment
• Create and enhance tooling and processes to boost maintainability and reliability
• Participate in an on-call rotation

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in building and supporting production systems

• Experience converting customer, product, and business requirements into scalable solutions
• Proficiency in debugging complex issues across the stack, such as networking issues, performance problems, or memory leaks
• Effective collaboration with other engineers to tackle complex technical problems (mentoring, peer‑reviews, design reviews, etc.)
