About Cognizant's IoT Mobility Practice:
Cognizant Mobility is the premier automotive engineering services division of Cognizant that is focused on smart connected vehicle engineering and software delivery. Our clients include well-known Automotive OEMs and Electric/Autonomous Start-Up Companies that leverage our automotive engineering expertise.
We are looking for talented engineers with backgrounds in Electrical and Computer Engineering for such roles as Vehicle Systems Engineering, Electrical Design and Release, High Voltage Wire Harness Design and Packaging, Embedded Software Development and Algorithm Research, AUTOSAR Model Based System Design, Validation, Hardware in the Loop Integration, Functional Safety, Vehicle Triage, SWAT and Launch Support, etc.

The Role and Responsibilities:
The SWAT – Root Cause Engineer is responsible for leading electrical issue identification and resolution for all electrical features on a program line to ensure successful vehicle launch while working with various Engineering Support teams that include systems, wiring, design release and validation engineers, Program Management, and Manufacturing teams as required to support and launch vehicle programs. Responsibilities include:

1. Rapid troubleshooting / triage of vehicle electrical systems including:
1. Wiring issues
2. Electrical component issues
3. Assembly plant issues
4. Vehicle networking issues
5. Vehicle System issues
2. Support of vehicle launches, durability fleets, and prototype vehicles
3. Drive identified issues to closure

Basic Qualifications:

1. Bachelors in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science
2. Knowledge of CAN based communication and tools
3. Experience with multimeters and oscilloscopes
4. Outstanding communication and organization skills
5. Self-starter with ability to work independently

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Knowledge of CAN-FD
2. Knowledge of Ethernet protocol
