Job summary

Valiant Integrated Services seeks skilled CAT III Swahili Linguists to provide interpretation and translation services in support of ongoing and new U.S. operations and mission requirements. Responsibilities include transcription and translation/interpretation, cultural context provision, and document exploitation for intelligence purposes.

Must be a U.S. citizen with at least 2 years of experience and ILR level 3 in English and Swahili; active TS with SCI potential preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Minimum 2 years' interpretation/translation experience.
• ILR level 3 in English and Swahili; native proficiency preferred.
• Document exploitation skills.
• In-depth geo-political knowledge.
• Computer literate; able to follow conversations and reports.

Responsibilities

• Provide foreign language support including transcription and translation/interpretation from English to Swahili or vice versa.
• Provide cultural and ethnic context with expert opinion on meaning or intent of terms and statements.
• Perform document exploitation, scan, research, and analyze foreign language documents for key intelligence information.
• Other duties as assigned.
