Job summary

CommonSpirit Health is seeking a System Vice President, Clinical and Industry Trials to shape a short-term strategy for clinical and industry trials and lead the health system’s trial enterprise across sites.

You will ensure regulatory compliance, budgeting, contracting, and performance, while expanding investigator-initiated and industry-sponsored trials and cultivating strategic partnerships with biopharma, medtech, CROs, and academia.

Qualifications

• MD or equivalent medical degree required; advanced research certification preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive senior leadership experience in academic medical systems or equivalent.
• Deep understanding of FDA regulations, GCP, and clinical trial lifecycle; experience with digital health tools.
• Experience collaborating with senior executives and leading large-scale research programs.

Responsibilities

• Develop a short-term strategy for clinical and industry trials aligned with system research mission.
• Oversee regulatory compliance, budgeting, contracting, and performance metrics.
• Ensure efficient trial activation, patient recruitment, and data integrity across sites.
• Lead adoption of digital tools and innovations in trial management and decentralized trials.
• Foster partnerships with biopharma, medtech, CROs, and academic institutions; ensure research continuity.
