Sustainment Data Scientist

The Opportunity: As a data scientist, you’re excited at the prospect of unlocking the secrets held by a data set, and you’re fascinated by the possibilities presented by IoT, machine learning, and artificial intelligence. You’ll develop algorithms and systems and use the right combination of tools and frameworks to turn sets of disparate data points into objective answers to help clients make informed decisions. You Have:

• Experience with data exploration, data cleaning, data analysis, data visualization, or data mining
• Experience with statistical and general-purpose programming languages for data analysis, including R or Python
• Experience analyzing structured or unstructured data sources
• Experience developing predictive data models, quantitative analyses, or visualization of targeted data sources
• Knowledge of Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or Natural Language Processing
• Knowledge of text mining or machine learning techniques
• Secret clearance
• Bachelor’s degree

Nice If You Have:

• 2+ years of experience in the development of algorithms leveraging R, Python, or SQL/NoSQL
• 2+ years of experience with Reliability Block Diagrams, Fault Tree Analyses, Failure Modes Effectiveness and Corrective Action (FMECA), and Level of Repair Analyses (LORA)
• 2+ years of experience with Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF), Mean Time to Repair (MTTR), and Mean Logistics Delay Time (MLDT)
• Experience with Littoral Combat Ship, AEGIS, US Coast Guard, FFG, and various Surface ship platforms and Combat System elements
• Master’s degree
• Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.

Compensation

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
