Job summary

Belcan is seeking a Sustaining Reliability Engineering Technician at our Normal, IL facility to build, maintain, and operate laboratories for testing electrified powertrain systems and components.

You will collaborate with test engineers to install and configure complex powertrain test equipment, execute tests with minimal downtime, troubleshoot failures, and document work; maintain SOPs; train others; and sustain a clean, organized lab environment.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining complex powertrain test equipment.
• Ability to configure and maintain test properties.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to document work.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain test properties across powertrain test equipment.
• Execute tests to minimize downtime and maximize data quality.
• Troubleshoot test failures and report findings to engineers.
• Complete high-priority tasks by scheduled due dates during testing.
• Disassemble/reassemble production and prototype hardware.
• Provide guidance to engineers and create SOPs.
• Train other team members to perform procedures in standardized format.
• Perform routine maintenance on test equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient working environment.
• Attend daily stand-up and team meetings on-time.
• Document daily work electronically.

Role Summary

As a Sustaining Reliability Engineering Technician working at Client's Normal Illinois test facility, youll work with the Sustaining Reliability Team to build, maintain, and operate laboratories for testing electrified powertrain systems, electric vehicle systems and component reliability.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with test engineers to install, configure, and maintain test properties across a variety of complex powertrain test equipment
• Execute tests effectively that results in minimal test equipment downtime
• Troubleshoot test failures and report findings to test engineers
• Proactively complete highest priority tasks by scheduled due dates while tests are ongoing
• Disassemble/reassemble production and prototype hardware
• Provide guidance to engineers
• Create electronic standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Train other team members to perform procedures in standardized format
• Perform routine maintenance on test equipment
• Develop a clean, organized, and efficient working environment
