Scope
The Manager I leads and implements a cross‑functional engineering team in the ADM Mount Joy plant. The team consists of 7 full‑time Product Engineers, with the potential of an annual Rotational Engineer and a Co‑Op / Intern. This manager will lead, manage, support, analyze, and assist in all aspects of sustaining Aerospace, Defense and Marine connector systems products, including overseeing product data creation and driving excellence in part number maintenance at drawing level for up to 30 Global Product Lines, including new & legacy rectangular and military circular connectors.
This Manager I will act as a member of the Plant Leadership team, participating in regular operations meetings and helping to influence the operations strategy of both the Mount Joy and Rapho plants.
Responsibilities
- Fast learner with broad leadership and product experience with commercial aerospace and defense electrical connectors and related components.
- Strong leadership experience with demonstrated success with a professional team.
- Experience with manufacturing processes such as machining, plating, molding, sealing, and assembly, and industry requirements such as REACH, EU RoHS, TCSA, and Prop 65 declarations preferred.
- Knowledge of core engineering tools including Windchill, CREO, PDMLink, and other CAD/FAE tools necessary to lead the Product Engineering team in completing tasks assigned from 3‑D modeling, detailed 2‑D print mark‑ups / generation, processing engineering changes and updating engineering bill of materials.
- Work with local TE Operations staff and ADM Connectors Engineering leadership to drive implementation on a wide variety of targeted technical assignments, including engineering sample preparations, plant‑level interactions with peer engineering managers, and development of strong relationships with product managers and customer‑facing sales personnel.
- Continuous follow‑up on sustaining engineering activities, product migration activities, and accountability for team completion of assigned engineering projects within project scheduling guidelines.
- Plan, prioritize, and actively manage the team to drive performance and results on multiple technical related projects and daily tasks related to the Engineering Change system, technical documentation creation, Product Jurisdiction & Classification Assessments, and TE Product Compliance Tracking database systems.
- Work collaboratively and closely with TE Project Managers in technical project related personnel, including contractors.
- Supports TE efforts on professional growth aligned with TE values and respects diversity, inclusion, and equity initiatives per TE corporate policy.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Engineering Degree or equivalent including managerial experience.
- Documented U.S. citizen able to work without restrictions in ITAR / Export‑controlled facilities.
- 7+ years of overall experience with technology‑based industrial operations of electrical and mechanical parts, including 3+ years of demonstrated leadership success in sustaining product engineering or development engineering.
- Strong English language skills; proficiency in Spanish preferred.
- Advanced degree preferred – either MS Eng or MBA.
- Must pass TE drug screening and site‑specific background requirements.
Job Responsibilities (Must‑Do)
- Monitor compliance with all regulatory standards and guidelines and document it.
- Collaborate with multiple stakeholders and assist in developing clear goals and prioritizations consulting with the leadership.
- Assess the feasibility of deadlines and provide inputs for cost reduction and improving efficiency.
- Design and document technical specifications, workflows and process/product documents.

Compensation
- Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $128,200‑168,200 (subject to change dependent on physical location).
- Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
- Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits.
