Job summary

CelLink in San Carlos, CA is seeking a Sustaining Equipment Engineer to improve automated production equipment for EV electrical systems. You will respond quickly to real-time issues, collaborate with maintenance and operations staff, and drive preventive maintenance improvements and spare parts management.

You will leverage hands-on tooling experience and SolidWorks to design and implement equipment improvements that raise throughput and yield while adhering to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, or Manufacturing preferred.
• Strength in SolidWorks is a must.
• Extensive experience with hand tools and manual machinery.

Responsibilities

• Be the initial point of contact for equipment escalations.
• Support the creation of PM procedures and documentation.
• Support the launch and maintenance of the PM software.
• Implementation and upkeep of the company-wide spare parts system.
• Creation of equipment-specific critical spare parts lists.
• Analyze equipment performance and identify opportunities for increased productivity.
• Lead RCA activities and implement equipment-related corrective actions.
• Audit and improve Maintenance Technician recovery procedures.
• Design-to-implementation of equipment improvements that increase throughput or yield.
• Assist with training on how to safely operate equipment with supervisors.
• Comply with safety regulations and keep work areas clean and orderly.

Sustaining Equipment Engineer

As a Sustaining Equipment Engineer, you will be responsible for making continuous improvements to our automated production equipment for the manufacturing of electrical systems for electric vehicles. This will involve rapid, efficient responses to real-time issues, driving permanent resolutions and improvements in collaboration with our maintenance and operations staff, as well as driving continuous improvement of our preventative maintenance programs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Be the initial point of contact for equipment escalations

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)

Experience/Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, or Manufacturing is preferred.


• Strength in SolidWorks is a must.


• Extensive experience working with hand tools and manual machinery


• Expert user in the Microsoft Suite


• Project management and/or strong organizational skills


• Self-starter with the ability to work independently or in a group setting

Work Environment –

Includes both a typical office environment, with minimal exposure to excessive noise or adverse environmental issues, and a shop environment, with exposure to high noise levels from operating machines, physical hazards from moving equipment and machine parts, nuisance dust, and skin exposure to chemicals used to run/maintain machines

PPE-

May be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment, including but not limited to safety glasses, safety shoes, bump-caps, gloves, hair nets, masks, & clean-room frocks while adhering to the prescribed safety procedures

The base pay is just one part of CelLink's total compensation package and is determined within a range.
