Job summary

Amcor is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to perform inspections, checks and tests during the manufacture of products. You will record observations and may recommend process improvements.

Responsibilities include following safety, ISO and GMP policies, conducting tests, reporting non-conformances, and maintaining housekeeping. Night shift (12 hours) may be required as part of fluctuating business needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, or 1–3 months related experience or training.
• Quality background in measurement techniques and analysis preferred.
• Possesses well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work in a high paced and multi-task environment.
• Ability to operate all lab equipment.
• Ability to read, write and follow written or verbal instructions.
• Ability to read a caliper, micrometer, digital indicator and scale.

Responsibilities

• Follow and support all Company safety, ISO and GMP policies
• Conduct Elmendorf tear tests as needed
• Conduct dart drop tests as required
• Gauge film using Measure Tech as required
• Perform quality checks on all lines and take appropriate action on non-conforming product
• Report non-conformances to Lead Quality Auditor and/or Shift Supervisor
• Fill in for Lead Quality Auditor as requested
• Maintain housekeeping and other tasks as assigned by the Lead Quality Auditor or Quality Manager.
• May assist in other areas or perform other duties as required by fluctuating business needs.
• Must be able to work 12 hours night shift.
