Job summary

Huhtamaki in Indiana is seeking a production operator to support our packaging lines in a fast-paced facility. You will operate and maintain machines, load materials, and ensure safe, efficient production on a 12-hour shift.

As part of a GMP/PPE-driven team, you will set up rolls, adjust machines, document usage, and help keep the area clean and compliant. Prior experience in industrial machine operation is preferred, with strong reliability and teamwork valued.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and ability to read/write effectively.
• Experience working with industrial machinery is a plus.
• Knowledge of GMP/PPE policies is helpful.
• Ability to follow directions and work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, and change machine rolls.
• Maintain alignment of rolls and stands.
• Label rolls for production use.
• Adjust dies, tracks, and machines for best operation.
• Make minor repairs on machines as necessary.
• Use Transition Works to move rolls between inventory and production.
• Record roll usage information.
• Load and maintain carton sealer.
• Operate crane and tow motor for roll handling.
• Keep workstation clean and free of hazards.
• Follow GMP and PPE policies; perform other duties as assigned.
